" The Autumn/Winter Sinha-Stanic collection has drawn much influence from the dress and armour of the Japanese Samurai warrior. We have contrasted a truly body-contoured look, with different kimono and voluminous upper body shapes. With no exposed fastenings, the overall look feels clean and mechanical.

Blocked segments of black, gold, camel and stone, create a graphic colour palette which is broken up with vivid shots of ‘chrome orange’ and foiled metallics.

Swarovski’s elegant crystals in shades of light Colorado Topaz, Crystal Golden Shadow, and Jet, provided the perfect components to emulate the intricate workmanship found in ornate samurai armour. Baguette-shaped crystals are laid in horizontal lines to replace the traditional small metal plates that were laced together, side by side, with leather. Swarovski’s square and oval-shaped crystals replace the cross knots that would have originally fastened plates of metal together.

The crystals are closely clustered together in orderly lines to create pieces that feel bold and warrior-like whilst always remaining modern and couture. "
