Autumn/Winter 07
“My inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 2007 collection comes from a combination of the 1970’s French film ‘Madame Claude’, porcupine quills, fishing nets and Greek Mythology.
Using the newly launched Crystal Yarn, a product consisting of fine quality cashmere with sparkling beads entwined into it, I have created giant fishing nets of hand knitted Swarovski studded yarn. These are dotted with Swarovski ‘flies and fishes’, which are made of highly faceted crystals that reflect a palette of blue colours and irregular cut pendants in golden and beige hues.
I have also created ‘Pride and Prejudice’ inspired ball-gowns, which are covered with Swarovski embroidery sewn onto origami shaped pigs. For this I have used a variety of futuristic sew-on stones in the metallic shades of Copper and disco colours.”
