EMMA COOK
Spring/Summer 07
'We were really exited to work with Swarovski this season. The timing felt really right for some more sparkle. We always work with surface decoration and embellishment, but have never worked with crystal before so the collaboration was perfect for us.
We wanted to use the crystal in a new way, and make it look really modern. The collection was loosely based around a Safari theme, so the concept was to take the really dry, rustic and organic quality of straw raffia and mix it with the beauty of crystals.
The final pieces were a series of heavily embroiderd "hollywood safari" dresses that summed up the mood of the collection.'
