DECOREX 2003
Swarovski at Decorex
2003
Tord Boontje, designer of the Blossom chandelier for Swarovski’s Crystal Palace Project, designed the Swarovski booth at Decorex in 2003. He applied his Blossom chandelier design to different aspects of “crystal architecture”, in order to demonstrate the adaptability of crystal in interior design. This included Swarovski fibre optics, crystal ‘wall tattoos’ and ‘Starry Sky’ spotlights.
Swarovski also contributed 8000 crystals to the Decorex centrepiece creation by Spina: “Gargantua”, a 4m high tassel.
